New Jersey Oxycodone Rehab Center

Oxycodone is an example of an opioid prescription that is also known as OxyContin and Percocet. Opioid medications are made from a derivative of the poppy plant that grows naturally. Opioids, including Oxycodone, are commonly used to treat severe pain and used for chronic pain.

Oxycodone is a Schedule II medication that has a high risk for addiction, overdoses, and death. Individuals who misuse or abuse prescription medications often find themselves transitioning to other opioids that are less expensive, including heroin and fentanyl, which are also opioids.

The Wellness Recovery Center is a New Jersey oxycodone rehab that offers outpatient treatment services to the West Windsor community. To learn more about available treatment at our New Jersey drug rehab, call (866)861-3449 now!

Oxycodone Rehab

What is Oxycodone Used For?

Oxycodone can be prescribed by a Physician when an individual’s severe pain is not relieved with other pain medications. This medication is not intended for individuals who have mild pain and those who would benefit from taking non-narcotic medications.

If Oxycodone is used over an extended period, it can become habit-forming, and lead to the development of a physical and mental dependence.

A holistic approach to oxycodone treatment in New Jersey is available at the Wellness Recovery. With a personalized treatment approach, you will gain the skills and knowledge you need for a lasting recovery. Call (866)861-3449 to speak with a representative today!

How It Works

How Does Oxycodone Help with Pain?

Oxycodone works as a central nervous system depressant. This happens when Oxycodone binds to the opioid receptors in our brain. When this happens, the user can experience a range of things including pain relief, relaxation, and euphoria.

When Oxycodone is misused or abused, there is an increased risk of overdose which can lead to shallowed or stop breathing, and death. Any signs of a potential opioid overdose should be treated as an emergency and receive medical attention. Signs and symptoms associated with an opioid overdose include:

  • Blue or gray lips and nails
  • Cold, clammy skin
  • Dizziness and confusion
  • Gurgling sounds
  • Loss of consciousness and inability to wake up

Substance Abuse

Can You Be Addicted to Oxycodone?

Oxycodone is a powerful medication that can lead to dependence and addiction, especially when it is being misused and abused. Simply put, taking your medication in any manner other than what your doctor prescribed to you, is misuse.

As noted above, Oxycodone is not a medication that you should take for injuries that could be treated with non-narcotic medications. If you have any concerns about your prescribed Oxycodone, we encourage you to speak with your prescribing doctor.

The Wellness Recovery Center is a New Jersey oxycodone rehab that provides partial hospitalization programming, intensive outpatient programming, and routine outpatient treatment. To learn more, call (866)861-3449 today!

The Wellness Recovery Center is the Premier New Jersey Oxycodone Rehab

More often than not, addiction brings a sense of chaos into your life. You may have burned bridges with friends, pushed away family members, and even gotten into legal trouble. There is no denying that the consequences you have experienced are difficult. The Wellness Recovery Center offers to help you put a stop to the chaos that surrounds you, by providing you with whole-person care that is modified to fit your unique needs.

The Wellness Recovery Center is an oxycodone rehab center in West Windsor that offers outpatient treatment options including partial hospitalization programming (PHP), intensive outpatient programming (IOP), and routine outpatient treatment.

PHP is the most intensive program available in an outpatient treatment program. With our day treatment program, you can expect to be in treatment for a full 8 hours 5 days a week. We offer unique treatment options and outings that allow you to practice your recovery skills in a safe environment.

IOP programs can be a great stepping stone for individuals who recently completed an inpatient program or a PHP. As a short-term treatment program, you will be in treatment for approximately 3 hours 3 to 4 days per week. We offer two different IOP sessions which allow you to return to work, school, and other responsibilities.

Outpatient treatment can include individual therapy, group therapy, or a combination of both. This is a flexible option that can be used for the first year of your recovery to provide you with a constant source of support and encouragement as you navigate your recovery.

With each of our treatment programs, we offer dual-diagnosis treatment for individuals who are living with co-occurring disorders. Depending on your needs, this can include group therapy, individual therapy, and medication-assisted treatment.

Examples of our alternative treatment options include:

  • Yoga therapy
  • Art therapy
  • Music therapy
  • Meditation and breath work
  • Gender-specific trauma groups
  • Family support programming
  • Relapse prevention group
